Duane Block is a Managing Director in Accenture’s Technology Incubation Group, based in Chicago. He leads Accenture's Digital Currency practice in North America. Duane has over 20 years of experience in retail banking and payments.

Duane is passionate about helping clients understand and navigate the digital asset ecosystem, partnering to identify, monetize and implement use cases and capabilities that harness the power of digital currency to drive internal efficiency and create offerings and experiences that delight end customers. He actively contributes to the Digital Dollar Project. The Digital Dollar Project was created to encourage research and public discussion on the potential advantages and challenges of a United States Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC).

Duane holds an M.B.A. from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan and a bachelor's degree in finance from the University of Wisconsin.
