Michael is a Senior Managing Director at Accenture and the company’s Global Banking Lead. He is responsible for Accenture’s overall vision and strategy for banking, including investment priorities, client offering development, and ecosystem partnerships.

With more than 25 years’ experience in the banking industry, Michael is committed to helping banks develop and execute new strategies that identify and capitalize on the opportunities of industry disruption. His passion for envisioning what is possible in financial services has made him a pioneer in the sector. And his deep expertise in strategic innovation, digital banking, payments and operational technology has enabled him to help create business and operating models that deliver efficiency, competitiveness, agility and sustained growth.

Prior to joining Accenture, Michael was the founder and CEO of Softcard, which was acquired by Google in 2015 and is now the mobile wallet platform for Google Pay. He built Softcard from concept to four million users, and in the process created the technology and business models adopted by Apple, Google and others that provide the foundation for today’s mobile payments industry.
