Tackling industry challenges together

As 9,000 people from the global financial services community converged on Sibos 2022 in Amsterdam, I was reminded, once again, that nothing can replace the energy of the in-person experience. Sibos was a highly anticipated industry event after three years of connecting remotely. And it did not disappoint.  

Our team was excited to converge under the same roof to tackle the most pressing industry challenges facing banking and financial services right now. I felt this enthusiasm flow into all aspects of our days together. From Accenture’s interactive demos to engaging speaker sessions , colleagues, clients and ecosystem partners came together to share experiences, questions, ideas and insights. In fact, I managed to convince a few meta-skeptics that the metaverse will be a game changer for banking. 

In the suite of cutting-edge demos created by Accenture, we welcomed participants into the metaverse so they could learn more about emerging expectations for key areas such as talent onboarding, supply chain finance and central bank digital currencies along with the power of payments and sustainability in this new world. 

Sibos encouraged a closer, collective look at the factors shaping our lives, the real and the virtual. As we know, these factors will impact, if not define, the future of banking. Let's continue these important industry conversations and face the future together. Get in touch.
